Default slight rattle at idle

While on the subject of maintenence, there is a slight tap or rattle at idle. could this be that the valve timing is a little off? I changed out my oil (&tranny fluid) and its still there. not very noticable but I am paraniod about my cars. in any case, i guess ill call up the dealer and inquire about it regardless. i know the 2.0s all have a little bit of a tap at idle after they are broke in... but the 2.4 also???

Does it go away when you depress the clutch to the floor? Alot of these trannies have gear rattle in neutral, fully warmed up. (That is normal. )

actually you cant hear it when inside the car, only when by the engine, it sounds like its coming from more of the valve side of things

these srt-4's are loud to begin with, alot of stuff shakes and rattles, i was told big gears make for alot of noise and it could just be the injectors firing and making noise.

Theres a TSB to champher the cam caps on 04s and 05s. Take it in and have that done, the noise should go away.

Technical Service Bulliten.

Something that happens to alot of the cars, but isn't dangerous enough or serious enough to warrant a recall on it. I dont have the exact TSB number in front of me, but I am 100% positive there is one.

Pm Paul, RIPSIGUY, he can give you the exact service bulliten on it. I had it done to my car for the same kind of irregular tapping/snapping noise. After that it went away
