Default RE: Stage 2 Question???????????

I don't want to steal this guy's thunder, but I'd like to get an answer about the Stage 2 (No toys) ...how much HP would I be missing out on if I didn't change the stock exhaust out to something like the performance Mopar cat-back?

I'd like to stay away from the interior buzzes and rattles that usually come with performance exhaust systems. Thanks.

I dont think you'd be losing that much considering the stock is 2.25 I believe, and the mopar is 2.5.

safc's are made by the devil. i hate those things. they're cheap for a reason.

if you're going to run anything dtec seems to be the best option. emanage/e01 combo is nice, but a lot more money. using a piggy back on s2 w/toys will also help lean it out as the purpose is to control fuel delivery, the only issue is that you'll loose the functionality of the dail-a-boost. if that doesn't matter to you, then go for it. if that does matter, then stick with the dab and use a tb, exhaust, and w/i to help lean it out.

i'll be putting a dtec on my car in the near future, as soon as my fuel system comes in.....

Is the DAB equivalent to an EBC, I'm assuming an EBC is easier to use to adjust boost but I'm not sure?

dab is basically a pre-programmed ebc with four maps (if you want to get technical eight due to race gas). the dab settings are not adjustable at all, they are on a ebc.

it changes depending on if you're running s2 or s3.....

from what i remember when i was on s2, my car ran as follows

0 - 7psi
1 - 15psi
2 - 1st & 2nd gears 14psi, 3rd & 4th 19psi
3 - 19 all gears

Thanks alot for your quick response, I'm assuming Map 2 is the optimal range because of traction issues
