Default Stage 2 Question???????????

I am getting ready to install a stage 2 in my SRT4. What else besides the Stage 2 kit would i need to invest in? The olny after market part I have installed is a K&N short air intake (63 series aircharger kit).

if your gonna make it go faster, i would definately reccomend upgrading both your brakes and suspension... what good is a 12 second car if you cant stop it or avoid an accident in it

Suspension, suspension, suspension. These cars make a lot of torque you can't get to the road with stock suspension. Adding more torque and horsepower before having a suspension that will let you put it down it frustrating. Mounts, upgraded bushings and traction bars should be first.

forget the traction bars, they're a waste of money and don't do a damn thing.

you didn't say if you got toys or not...that makes a big difference. but i can tell you that a decent exuast, tb, and a goof w/i kit will be yor best friend with s2. if you don't have toys, get a dtec or something to lean it out. if you do have toys, well w/i is you're buddy then. a decent set of motor mounts and lca bushings will help, as well as a wider tire.

I think I have decided on the Stage 2 kit w/o toys, mopar cat-back exhaust, and mopar blow off valus plate, was hopeing to get the car ready for the NOPI tour. Would i need to invest in anything else for the car to run right?????????????

I disagree about traction bars, I got rid of the last remnant of wheel hop I had when I installed mine this spring and have had not wheel hop at the drag strip or on the street since, no matter what rpm I launch at. Installed and set up properly they do work!

and when things start breaking and falling off the car you'll be cursing the traction bars......the ones out now just are not a great design. there are a few others in the works that will help and not cause the issues that the current designs seem to have.

you don't NEED to get anything other than s2 for the car to run "right" (not sure exactly what you mean by that). there are parts that can optimize the performance of s2, but they aren't required.
