Superbird 2 stage 3 or turbobird ?
Well to start off when i bought my srt-4 i was sitting at the sales rep's desk and right next to it was a black srt-4 and i couldn't for the life of me get the image of the 70 superbird out off my head. And how the superbird's decal's would look on the srt-4 plus the horn " meep meep". Then changing the lettering on the decal's to road runner superbird stage III then getting the seat's embrodderd with it. But like i said in one of the other thread's. I'm looking for hemi #'s 475 hp and 550 ft-lbs. And probably cutting the rear wing and extending it up but not as high as the 70's just high enough to see what's behind not that it really matter's. Do ya think i should just go with all the stage 3 stuff . oh and if i do go with the superbird's decal's im rebadging it as a special edtion plymouth pulling all the dodge & srt-4 emblem's off and have plymouth one's put in there place. Just wanted to get some input on what i'm thinking about doing[sm=smiley15.gif] Thx's OH ya before i forget a decal of wile e. coyote holding a sign saying help as he get's sucked into the hood scoop
sounds like a whole lot of work and I am not really fond of decaling them all up, but I think that that would look excellent!!! I would be very anxious to see some pics when or if you do it.
Or you could keep it Dodge and shoot for 440-sixpack numbers.

OK, now what is it that your really looking for, Hemi power or Hemi Roadrunner/Superbird numbers, 0-60 MPH, 1/4 mile, etc.? Getting around 500 horsepower will cost alot of money, but getting Hemi Roadrunner/Superbird numbers is cheap and easy. 500 horsepower in an SRT-4 will be 10's in the 1/4 mile. You can get Hemi Roadrunner/Superbird numbers with simply Stage 2 turbo upgrade. In fact, a stock SRT-4 is about the exact same in the 1/4 mile as a Hemi Superbird.
well..in a recent article in "Modified Magazine", there was a yellow SRT-4 pushing 22 pouinds and 500 hp on the stock block! All he had was a supra turbo, and new driveshafts for the drivetrain, and the resr was fuel and computer related...and all he spent was about 6 grand!...check it out of you can find it online, and I will try to get you all a company name.
Anyone that has seen the article, back me up on this...the car was harsh!

Ya i seen that article of the yellow srt, but one of the guy's i talk to said he made 5 passes on the track and fried his motor, but then he was bolting on part's from where ever. One of the kit's i'm looking at right now put's out 430-460 hp with stock intercooler, or lager front mount increase's it to 460-520 hp with the motor tuned in both instance's. And they said total installed would be $6300.00 roughly. Oh im looking for the motor #'s that should be more than enough to keep the big block car's at bay. Oh the pic is 40 ****** blown 426 hemi 4 spd

Making 500 horsepower is relatively easy, but making 500 horsepower that lasts a long time is very difficult. Making 500 horsepower that is streetable and able to last several years as a daily driver with only 4 cylinders is gonna cost. $6,000+ to me is alot of money.
