Default Radio Question

I have a 2005 SRT-4 with the Kicker upgrade installed in it. I want to install an aftermarket radio in it, does the stock radio have an external amp somewhere else in the car? I know about the amp in the trunk, but i think that is just for the sub. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats the only amp it has is for the sub the other amp is built into the radio........ your stock radio will have a seperate connector for the 6 disk........you wont be using that with the new radio

you will need to get the proper adapter which will connect to your factory harness........then you just match the colored wires off the adapter to your new radio's wires
really easy

I have a 7" flip screen, the sub sounds 100% better with the ability to change more settings rather than one bass setting and one treble setting.

And yes it will work, no bypassing needed.

your flip out screen will probably have a wire.........that they tell you to wire up to your emergency brake.......this keeps you from watching movies while driving
you can ground this wire if you want to watch movies anytime..

I am going with the Jenson VM9511TS, which is a 7" flip screen. So the only thing i would have to buy is the mounting kit and the wiring harness?
