Default Spark blowout......

How do you know when you are experiencing spark blowout? My car acts a little funny once in a while. Trying to get to the root of the problem......

Define "funny" a little more and tell us what plugs/wires you're running and what the plugs are gapped at......

I'm running NGK Iridiums (one range colder) gapped at roughly .o37-.038 w/ MSD wires. It only acts this way once in a while, but when boost comes on in like second or third gear it will hesitate and not pull quite as hard as it should, then I'll run it through the gears again after it happens to make sure everythings OK and it's fine. It acts almost as if maybe the WGA is opening too soon and letting all of my boost go. I was going to do an adjustment on it but as of right now it won't adjust any further. I'd considered going with the AGP, just waiting to hear how flameredsrt's switch to stock lines goes to make my decision. I was also wondering how I would diagnose spark blowout for future references, just in case it ever happens I'll know and adjust my gaps accordingly.

remove the iridiums... our cars dont need them. they run better on regular ngks. part #4603 or 4306 always mix up.

is your engine hesitating when you get on it?

I know what you are talking about. I had those plugs too. For the first few months, they were fine (gapped at .040). Every now and then I would get like a slight "hesitation" when hard on the gas. Once or twice my eye caught the boost gauge jumping down about 5psi. So, I got new NGK v-power plugs and gapped them (per advice of another web site) to .036. No issues since.

In all honesty, I think within the next month or so I'm going to just go with the plugs that Mopar suggests in the stg 2 istallation manual. Deffinitely shouldn't have to worry about any issues then.
