Default Radio Help?????????

I have just installed a Jenson VM9511TS wired it up correctly and grounded the parking brake wire as told and still can not watch DVD while driving, can anyone help me out with this?

after i connected my antenna i grounded my wire to the outer shell of the antenna casing .and just taped it on there

i dont see why it would matter but try grounding it elsewhere...... just becarefull would hate for you to blow something

hey im doing some searching for you........ive already found two people saying this trick didnt work for them on the same radio.....maybe jensen got smart to the idea?
ill keep looking around

ok prepaint looks like jensen has changed things..........read threw this forum............sounds like youo need a toggle switch.........please dont blame me if you blow something up

Thanks for the help, i found out that u need a pulse to trick the screen into thinking that the parking brake is on. There is a unit on the market that does this for u, and i have to order one. I called a car stereo shop and they said that the newer screens r doing this for safety, no more just grounding the parking brake wire.

yea thats what the on and off switch will do....give it the pulse needed to work...........but if there making something better then thats the way to go........i wouldnt like the idea of having a switch...........did the guy say what the product was you need to order?............either way glad you got it worked out

I didn't have to do ANY of that.

I bought my radio last May. They installed it and grounded the pink parking brake wire the way its supposed to be grounded. So I....

1. Pulled the radio out and cut the pink wire and pulled it out from underneath the center console.. Buh-Bye wire.
2. Spliced into the thin ground wire, used a connector and put the wires in where they belonged.
3. Viola DVD w/Ebrake down.

they have made the newest models harder........... now you have to engage parking brake......release brake.....then engage again for his model to work........
