CALLING ALL SRT4 VETERANS: HELP NEEDED
Anyone here remember about owners complaining of clunking from the rear struts? Its coming from the upper mount, like the mount rattles when you turn and put a load on one side. I can feel the mount boggling around in there and both sides do it.
If I remember correctly, someone had a fix for it. We have one here in the shop and it's pretty bad. We already did the struts & mounts to no avail.
Thanks in advance,
Paul

Andy,
That looks about right... I did it when I put the S3 coilovers in... I used a 3M windshield adhesive if I recall... just a nice layer around the opening on one of the plates...
if you need pic's RIPS, let me know... I think I have some of what I did.

RE: CALLING ALL SRT4 VETERANS: HELP NEEDED
71RR... this is from the S3 coilover install I did earlier this year. Suspension will have to be "dropped" or taken out to add the "goo". I never had any trouble while stock, and I added this during the install since I had heard complaints... and yanking out suspension isn't something I enjoy ;-) ha-ha... if you have any Q's or need other pic's I can try and help. Enjoy:
Top Hat from rear coilover/strut (ignore the nail in the tube ;-)
3M WindShield adhesive drying (flexible rubber basically, but hi-temp resistant I think)
Coilover, the black part at the top is the finished project - - and my oh-so-sexy hand/arm
