Mopar Performance Short Throw Shifter
Get it Dusty! You won't regret it. I've had mine installed for the greater part of about 2 hours and I love this thing already. I want to go drive my car right now. I've never had such firm, short throws on a car.
I just read that the shifter **** is only designed for one-time use- once you pull it off the clamping bracket is permanently bent- that's why guys are having problems with it coming off on the 2nd gear shift.
Also, MP has a **** that fits as a screw-on and apparently it works really well, as well as looking alot better- I plan on getting it.

Since I don't have the SRT4 I had to order the shift **** for my short throw. The **** that came with mine appears to be made of plastic unless I am fooled by it, is that what comes with the SRT4??? Well if I do happen to rip the **** off like some have, I might just have to get the MP screw on one.
the SRT-4's **** is plastic as well... it has the typical "parting line" around it to suggest a die process... unless my eyes have been fooled
as for the short-throw... hehehe... I can grab second like a *****-[sm=smiley35.gif]er now... I don't even bother with 1st gear and wasting tires... I leave it all for second
and third if the road is right

since the engine uses all its boost in 2nd gear, it shouldnt hurt the engine tooo much over the long run....maybe youll lose some power after about 70,000 miles if you do it consistantly, but its good practice if your just tooling around town.
hey dusty...why not go for the performance first?
its just my philosophy, but "go before show" is gonna be plastered on my bumper once Ive gotten it made
I would personnaly go for a stronger clutch preasure plae and disk...tha way, you can get those @bd gear shifts to really hook up and bite for you

hey dusty, not to tell my elders what to do, but i'm with the "performance before show" group. but i don't plan on entering any car shows nether. my 04 is my daily driver and that's why i choose my route of mods. some performance mods come with the secondary benefits of good looks ie. mopar/borla exhaust, mopar stage 3 coilovers and cool noises ie mopar bov, k&n cai, mopar/borla exhaust. but do what you feel like doing and more importantly what you can afford. don't get me wrong please, i want the mopar brake lights and the silly ceramic coated intake manifold, but only after the stage 3 turbo kit w/ toys and the front and rear sway bars from mopar.
