tubo lag question
First off the K&N Typhoon is no better than stock on these cars, and often times is actually worse. You have a 2.5" air tube, when you should have a 3" air tube on your intake for the best results.'
These cars have little to NO turbo lag from the factory. It would help if you had a better description of what was going on?
Is it something like....when you are in a certain gear at XXmph the car hesitates? That could be spark plugs and wires, or the fact that you are in a gear thats far too high for the speed you're mashing the pedal down at.
I have never heard of an intake causing any problems with acceleration, if anything it will enhance throttle response.

when i take off in first gear it gets up to about 2500-3000 rpms before the boost kicks in granted i just installed today and did not floor it leaving the line so that might be the problem. Any advice you have might be appreciated
if your car is stock, that means no stage 1, so the computer limits boost in 1st gear, first thing is get rid of the intake and use the stock air box, it's been proven to be jus as good as an intake until you go big turbo, 2nd, get an exhaust-it'll be one of your most HP gains, and 3rd-get stage 1, that is if you want to keep it all stock and save your warranty, if you don't give a **** bout your warranty, then go AGP wastegate, fuel return line, map clamp, exhaust, and stage 1, that's where you'll see the best HP,
the tip to knowledge for these cars is reading, you'll spend over 20 hours reading a finding lil tricks, these cars are touchy b/c the comuter, especially the 05's, you jus have to learn the way around it

and as 05ocsrt4 said you should only boost 7-8psi.
i have a wga, fmic, intake,mm,open down pipe, wires, ebc, springs and i have a warranty! That is not alwys true.I just had my tranny fix and i didnt have to pay ****.It really depends on what dealer you go to.I dont know how it is every where. But the dealer i got my car from told me the only thing that f-up the warranty is a bigger turbo and some kind of shot of nos.I guess the dealer i go to is really cool.Im not saying your full of **** because another dealer would not even work on my car when i had just a wga lol.Its worth looking around at other dealers.because they are all not ********.The only reason im saying this is so he will no that if he does other mods he dosnt have to always worry about if they are going to fix it or not.Because like i said every dealer is not the same!
your dealer must be pretty good and cool, my dealer wouldn't do anything for me, they let the stage 1, and BOV go, but as soon as i really got the mod bug, they told me to take a hike, along with all the others in a 50 mile radius

they say turbo is active at 2200rpm, i say 3,000rpm and over is where you should floor it the most often.....the car does not spool up the fastest when its around 1500-2800rpm. Its all in the rpms and the way the pedal is feeling...sometimes the car feels better but thats due the weather conditions and air quality. When its cold out you dont boost as much but i find the car pulls harder and is more responsive then when its hot and the little turboed engine is heatsoaked to the ****s!!!
