A Touch of Rice

I've been wanting to do that for the installs that I have done, it could stop alot of the same thing being asked and answered hundreds of times. Also with the warranty issue, will this void it or won't it void it, Q & A's, it would be up top so they can see it easily. Just a thought.[sm=smiley2.gif]

I'm a 21 year vet of the Air Force, even longer if you count growing up in an Air Force family....never got assigned to OK, but went to a family reunion up there once....[sm=smiley20.gif]
Got the 3D taillights in today...instructions look pretty good. All I need is a 13 mm socket wrench (check!) and a "panel popper" (woops, hope a butter knife will work...).
Now I have RR's problem with the weather. We're under a flood watch till Sunday and I ain't standing in the friggin' rain with a $500 digital camera!!![sm=smiley36.gif]
I'll get these on and document/photograph everything ASAP. [sm=smiley20.gif]

I bet working for the Po-lice you've had to stand outside in the rain with a camera before[sm=smiley29.gif].
Off topic--I recently made friends with a CHP officer (he moved into our church congregation) and asked him a bit about his job. Mostly curious about something he said about going to court on days off and getting reimbursed/etc. Man! I can't believe what a CHP officer goes through. He's in court defending his arrests practically every week. Also got a lot of sad stories--having to charge murder for DUI accidents, etc. I do NOT even your job in any way whatsoever. Takes a lot more emotional strength and willpower than I've got.
I don't envy that CHP guy either. High speed accidents are always tragic, especially when children are involved. I'm lucky in that respect, the highest speed limit in my district is 45 mph, although serious damage and injury can still occur at that speed.
As for the court dates, I try to have some other "work" (like security at a party/graduation/wedding) lined up around the same time so I don't get all spiffed up for nothing....50% of the time the other party doesn't show up.
It CAN be pretty tough mentally, anytime you are dealing with life and death it's really demanding, as our guys and gals in the military around the world know too well. However, once in a while you get a letter, or handwritten note saying thank you for something you did to help someone else. I got a card a few weeks ago calling me an "angel" for changing an older lady's tire....those kind of things make it all a little better.
Most cops are really good people who will lay their life on the line for you, 24/7... we write tickets for two reasons....we are TOLD to write a certain amount and it DOES reduce accidents and saves lives....remember 9-11.....

Just an update, we've had a TON of rain here in the last few days....lost electric power on three occasions today and the roads/rivers are overflowing everywhere....gonna trade my SRT-4 in for a boat......
Trouble is I'm already on some of the highest ground in the area, but I've got a split level condo, so I could go upstairs if the water rises more.....my garage is on a little higher ground than the condo, so the SRT-4 is safe for now. Talked to all the family in the area on the cell phone, everybody is OK. This is kinda like the bad monsoons we had in Viet Nam, but w/o the snipers taking shots at ya!!!!
