What kind of OCC do you have? It is set up different than most, but it is indeed hooked up properly, most simply do like I did and mount it on the passenger side and have it coming straight out of the PCV valve into the OCC and then into where the hard plastic line came up to the PCV. Here is a pic of how mine are ran, I have 2 though, the one that is hooked up to the same line yours is on, on mine it's on the passenger side attached to the A/C line and the other is for the line/hose from the drivers side of the valve/cam cover that goes into the CAI tube and is mounted where your OCC is:

RR,
You left the filter in the bottle? I took mine out because I heard that it doesn't work as well with it in. I don't have the filter anymore if I had to put it in. I did notice that after I emptied it the next day was like an 1/8 full.

Have you ever blown through one with and without the filter, there is little to no restriction from the filter. And the presence of the filter isn't going to negatively effect the OCC's ability to catch the oil, in fact having it in place may help. I noticed how when under vacuum it is possible, however very unlikely, for the oil to hit the flat area by where the other opening is and as it would form a drip, indtead it could be pulled around around it and out into the intake as it did before the OCC. But as I said, it's highly unlikely. Either way it works great.
