AGP WASTEGATE
Okay, I am looking into doing a few more mods to my SRT-4. Right now i got Intake, exhaust, bov, sts. I was thinking for my next mods i would do the agp wastegate http://agpturbo.com/product.php?prod...cat=276&page=1 however i am a 16 year old kid and am kinda new to working on cars. I was wondering how hard the installation is for the wastegate. Or if anyone would have a estimate on how much it would cost to have it installed. I also wanted to know how installation is on the stage 1 from mopar. Please gimme any help you can..thanks
Stage 1 Install: Its 6 bolts, a brace, and 3 plugs. However, if you have a stock airbox that needs to be removed. The bolts are all 10mm. But with Stage 1 you need to send it to Flight Systems to have your VIN flashed into it, or have it done at a dealer if you bought it used.
AGP WGA Install: Easy to install a PIA to adjust. Do the Stage 1 first. Theres 5 bolts on the heatshield (12 or 13mm i dont remember), and two bolts on the wastegate. Theres also a cotter pin that connects the wastegates arm to the exhaust manifold. It adjusts by the screws on the arm.
Where are you from? There should be people in your area willing to help you out. However at 16 years old I dont know if adding more power to a FWD car that already has alot is a good idea. It takes alot to handle one of these, and many of them are wrecked because of it. Im not speaking down upon it, im just saying in more words than less, please be careful. We're here to help you out in any way we can, so feel free to ask away.
And again, post up where you're from, there HAS to be people in your area that can help you out.
