ya he must have been dumb. the front mesh is only held in with some phillips screws. theres alot of people that remove the hood scoop to try to get more air flowing onto the turbo. as far as the badging goes i debadged mine and put new ones. i put an 04 viper emblem on the front and a stage ? on the rear.

Ive thought about removeing the plastic hood scoop thing but i dident see a way to do it but then havent really looked hard.
How can i do it w/o damageing the car or the scoop if i decide i would rather have it on??

Pop the hood and you'll see two small bolts and nuts under the scoop area.....

I would highly suggest not to take it off, the holes leave areas without paint on them and it looks bad, IMO.

Racevette: Remove the scoop, and cut out the center part of it with a Dremel or something similar. It will allow more airflow, but won't look gaudy because its still there.

04_T_4: Damn thats insane. The seatbelts are only a few bolts!!! You can get them used really cheap on Ebay for around 20 bucks, same thing with the hoodscoop insert. Or if you want, CarbonByDesign.com sells a carbon fiber version of the stock scoop as well. As far as the bumper and the underhood, you should go to the dealer you bought it from and ask them if they can repaint the underside of the hood and fix the bumper. Unless you signed something that said "as-is" they HAVE to fix it for you.

And the grille inserts. Take off the bumper and just unbolt the phillips head screws from the back, buy some touchup paint to match the car and see if you can at least fix how it looks from far. And as far as the underhood, if they wont fix it, buy some color matched paint from the dealer in a spray can and fix it up that way....its the best you can do for now.

But props for not giving up on the little guy!! Show the car the way it should be treated, and it'll help you give the sport compact world hell.

And by the way where are you from? Im sure theres a few of us in your area or close to it that could help you get the car back up to par.

in a way its good the guy messed up the grill, now just order the grill from cbd. its alot better. if you cant get touch up paint from the dealer, if you have a n autozone near you they have paint that matches.

Thank you very much. I am not sure I will ever be able to part with this car, its too great. I am from Iowa, Cedar Rapids to be exact, and I know that there are like 5 or 6 in the area, but still, none have hit me up on here. So, with that said, anyone in the area, please let me know, I would love to get together with you.

I have gotten outbid on the hood scoop insert in the last minute of the bids like 5 times. I do have ideas for this car though. I am thinking the triple black idea, black srt, flat black cuda stripe, and black rims. Thanks for the support though, I really appreciate it.

I'm sure someone has a stock hood scoop somewhere that they would be willing to part with. I unfortunately no longer have mine, but if I find one, Ill definitely grab it for ya. And I had seatbelts like two months ago from a regular neon (would have fit). But you can grab one of those out of a junk yard for a few bucks.

Anything we can do to help, please let us know. If I lived closer I would be more than happy to help you get everything back on its feet so you can start dealing with the serious stuff [8D]....like modding.
