VIOLATED
i woke yesterday getting ready for work, of course running late, i put my son in the car and when i opened the door and wires were hanging out. i lowered the rear seat and noticed my sound system was gone. i looked at the front door and the handle was ripped out and the window was busted. i opened the passenger door and on the seat was my ignition. the steering column was ripped up and around the guages, luckily not the boost guage. and my boost controler was ripped out also. damn this sucks, but ooh well. if i catch them i am going to kick some ***. neighbor all so said same thing was done to his truck week before so they live in the appartment complex as i do.
That's the exact reason I park my SRT-4 in my garage which is attached to my house which holds a 12 gauge riot shotgun w/00 buckshot (loaded), a 9mm AB-10 with a 30 round clip(loaded), and a Ruger Redhawk .44 magnum w/a 7 1/2 barrel (loaded)...no kids in the house, just one military trained and certified "Expert" marksman.....bring it on, bad guys.....[:@]
Thanks.....forgot to mention that here in Texas, it's LEGAL to shoot somone on your property after dark if they are commiting a felony.....stealing, burglary, etc. This law has been tested several times in the courts and has always been upheld.[sm=smiley20.gif]
I don't like to highjack a thread, but I'm in NJ where I cannot get a carry permit, but I can get a non-resident Florida carry permit and legally carry in states that reciprocate...go figure. [:@]
Yeah, that "issue" has been in the (police) news since some children were killed by people that were doing just that...NOT saying you are like that!!!!!! [sm=smiley4.gif]
There has also been a very large increase in "concealed guns", that is, guns that don't look like guns. Every thing from a "nut and bolt" zip gun to a pencil "gun" to a handcuff key on the bottom of a wedding ring......[&:]

People that were LEGALLY carrying were doing that? That's surprising. For the most part I would think the ones that go through the process of registering/applying for such permits wouldn't want to use them in a crime.

No, they were people that had slipped through the "net" that was supposed to catch these Bozos....No gun law will ever be 100% perfect. Just ask me, my son is in a Texas jail for 40 years for PULLING a gun on a cop, but not shooting him. And I'm a cop as well.
the garage is the safest place for your vehicle, but a loaded glock 20 chambered in 10mm fragnable ammo (penitrates flesh okay, but fragments in to dust when striking hard surfaces, not unlike a srt-4
or a garage wall[:-])in the the hands for a practiced IPSC shooter is reasurance that it stays safe and in my garage.
