The seats are the main reason I've been able to stick to my diet............

Hey thanks everyone for the replies, awesome support over here for this car!
You guys might think this is funny, me and my wife recently got a new Honda SI
which is a decent little car, pretty fast, not crazy fast though, handles really well
and brakes really well, wife drives it daily. Anyway Im pretty sure
the SRT-4 will smoke the SI easily in the 1/4 stock for stock set up right
and there's no doubt I'll be driving the SRT-4 and you know I gotta
be able to smoke the wife lol! Anyway thanks for all the tips everyone
and thanks Pressurecooker, do you have any other mods?
Yes redline is awesome synthetic, I had
a hyundai (wife's old car) grinding 2nd and 3rd every single time,
like the worst grinding you could imagine, I thought for
sure the trany needed sincros after trying synthetic mobil 1 gear oil in
it without change and some other additive. I was recommended
redline and it completely fixed the sincro problem for
good and it never came back so I'll take your advice
and change it out ASAP if I get the car along with all the other
fluids with synthetics, cant wait to get started lol.
As far as the seats go I sat in one at a dodge
dealer and I loved the seats and the rest of
the int, the SRT-4 has a personality all its own for
sure.
Anyway thanks again,
Dan

Tranny - I change it every 12-15k miles with ATF+4 and FM
Oil - Summer/Spring/Fall Mobil1 FS 5w30 Winter - Mobil 1 FS 0w20 DONT go past the 3k mark you run low, they eat oil.
Spark Plugs - NGK 4306 every 6k miles.

My turbo blew, because of a defect from the factory, no biggie. My car is demonic though, but for the past 62,000 miles its given me nothing but smiles. I love the seats, and the motor itself is holding up awesome. I'm also on the stock clutch (been to the track once)

There is a car with 145,000 miles on it with a stock clutch, a car in Alaska with over 100,000 miles on it, and quite a few more. A couple of the 100K plus cars are running big turbos as well, with NO issues. Its just like any other car, take care of it, it takes care of you. Corner hard, and kill the longevity of the car.

A buddy of mine owns a 2000 Si with CAI, Strut bars, Exhaust, suspension, and a few others, anyways, He was always talking about how fast it was and how many cars he has killed with it. So the day I pulled up next to him in it was great. For the first month he wouldnt even race me, then, once he did, and I learned how to drive it better, I SMOKED HIM! It was no question. And I am totally stock. So I guess what I am trying to say is, yes much faster than an Si, in fact he looked into buying an 04 srt-4 himself, hehe. This is also a guy who will not ever buy a four door car.

Thanks for the replys/info and lube advice LilSparkPlug and 04-t-4,
LilSparkPlug, I checked out your picks, awesome car!
Yea the SI is the new shaped one with 200 hp, like I said
its sorta fast keeping it in vtec @ 6000 rpm (redlines at 8000 LOL!)
and its fun to drive, 6 speed and handles but no doubt the SRT-4 is quicker and
sounds like it has way more power/tourque throught the powerband. The SRT-4 just seems more
like something I would drive, more muscle and more personality and you gotta love
that mean *** look the car has from the front, like a big dog showing his teach or something lol
especialy with those eyelid things LilSparkPlug has on hers, that is freakin mean.

Another question, what is the best year SRT-4 to
look at, is the 05 and 04 basicaly the same car?

yup...04-05 same same. you get the limeted slip with them and bigger injectors....

as far as the seats go, it is really getting in and out of them that is a pita for me. I have 4 disks fused in my back though, so that may be the reason. once im in the thing everything is kool

I have 6 screwed up discs, I'm 5'11, and I LOVEEEE my Viper seats.

The 05's have a notorious tranny issue with third gear and flywheel bolts. The 04 is really the best model to buy as long as its BUILT in 04, and not in the end of 03 (which had the 03 axles, weaker axles)

Are the seats viper seats standard?? I guess I'll be checking out the lowest miles
possible and drive the crap out of it before buying it, kinda sux though im in the middle of selling
our house and getting ready to sign a contract for a new home. Im told I should wait on buying
a car till the deal is done on the house for the lowest interest rate.. ahhhhrrrrrgggg!!! At least hopefully I'll have a better spot to park and work on the SRT-4 in the new garage, its has a big finished/heated/ac garage with a biggass game room above it, the previous owner (my brother in law) built the garage/barn to store and work on his 8 second fox bodies and other vehicles in, its my dream garage/house lol, hope it all works out ...waiting really freakin sux though, I have no patience.
