Are you out there???
I just read about the new Wagon STi in the current issue of C & D. It is not nearly as good as the WRX STi, but it does get a few more ponies under the hood, it was in the 250+-260+ horsepower range.
One thing you guys need to remember about the SRT-4(starting with 04 according to Dodge's web site) is that it has the quaife in the transaxle were as the WRX has electronicly controlled traction control. If the driver is good enough the SRT-4 should beat the WRX anyway. The quaife is not going to have any delays in operation and is a highly dependable unit. Electronic traction control has delays in reaction time and shuts down throttle to compensate.
Any and all stock SRT-4's can and do beat any and all stock WRX's (STi not included). The STi and the EVO are only beating the SRT-4's due to their AWD, if you even up the traction between them they will all run almost the exact same times. The WRX is only a problem for the SRT-4 if the SRT-4 driver can't drive or if the WRX is modified and the SRT-4 isn't.[sm=smiley2.gif]
