I have been in Germany only a few months after i left the war (O.E.F. O.I.F) and there's only one Shell station i found so far.... and it has 100 oct (V-POWER). though i havent put any yet with the S2, due to i havent put the toys in yet[&:]

I think I'll stick with the Chevron 93 octane for now until I hear more about the Shell. I know Shell got in hot water a few weeks ago for making false statements about it's oil reserves, hope this practice doesn't apply to its claims for its gasoline....

When i was in Japan. They have 100+ octane. Very expense. I use to put that in my MR-2 turbo.

Don't recall any 100 octane in Germany in the 70s/80s, but I wasn't looking for it either...my German spec Ford Fiesta "S" ran like a top on just about anything. I think the gas at Hahn Air Base was "BP" brand if I remember right....[&:]

I didnt know about the issue with Shell and its oil reserve. is there a tabloid on the net i can check out... they really dont show much of anything about the U.S. here

There was a big write up about it in the Wall Street Journal about 2 weeks ago. The local paper carried it as well, but not in as much detail....[&:]
