Default Rear Wheel Hop?

Now that I have had a chance to start exploiting my awesome new ride I am finding out how fast it is. Truly an awesome machine.

I have, however, found one Issue that is a concern to me. Under VERY hard brake load from speeds over 65ish I am experiencing severe rear wheel hop. The car seems like its about to lose control when this happens.

I have read a couple of blurbs about a Mopar Performance Rear Tension Strut that is due out sometime this summer and its description seems to indicate the it is the fix I need.

(The revised design results in improved toe stability(reduced bump-steer), virtually eliminating rear wheel hop under heavy braking and providing more positive suspension control for improved driver feedback and dynamic stability(wouldn't mind a little more stability, either).

Does anyone know if there is a planned release date for the part and where I can find it if it's out?

Or, if there is a better fix in anyones opion, I'm all ears.

Thanks

Taken from chrysler's bulletin(i think):
The revised design results in improved toe stability(reduced bump-steer), virtually eliminating rear wheel hop under heavy braking and providing more positive suspension control for improved driver feedback and dynamic stability(wouldn't mind a little more stability, either).

I would imagine that there is a possible design flaw since it seems that mopar is addressing it.

It has been doing this since the get go, so I doubt blown strut - unless from the dealer in a new car.

I have actually read about others having the problem as well; sport compact car magazine is one of them(on the sixth try from 80 the car erupted into a fit of rear wheel hop...).

also - I don't mean to sound like an *** but what do you mean by must've got a dead squirrel?

Yes, but from what I've read he seems to be extremely hard on his car. As in every day is race day.

It isn't as noticable a problem, necessarily, when I'm downshifting, although I do downshift at deceleration, this happens more in a panic situation or when I really need to stop fast from high speed. - and only under extremely high pressure. It almost seems like the abs is having trouble keeping up with the deflection of the rear bushings.
