First Mod..What do you think???
Whats up?..I was lookin to get the AGP Wastegate..Do you think thats a good first mod?. I have some extra money and was lookin to spend $150 to $200. Other mod that comes to mind is the K&N cold air intake but i think I would get more out of it with the wastegate..Let me know what you think..Thanks
If you can scrape up another $150 or so, go with the Mopar/Borla exhaust, and at first, a K&N air filter.....later you can do the CAI. More air in and out will give you the most bang for your bucks....[sm=smiley16.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]
Dusty is right. Intake and exaust are almost always the best "first mods" with any vehicle. You may not get great HP gains, or be able to even feel a difference from just one or both of these mods but you will run more efficiently. You will also be building a base for other mods which will need these to reach their full potential.
Another good first mod is a short throw shifter and booger bushings for about $120.
Good luck.

Well I guess I could try and scrap up another 150..I check to price of the Mopar-Borla Exhaust and its like 350ish with shipping. You would get that before a stage 1?.Just askin since its the about the same price.(also its an off subject but is it cheaper if you have an 04 since you dont need the injectors?) ...
depending on who you talk to - you will get different answers for the stage 1 question. I do not have stage 1 on my car. I thought about it, then figured if I was going to do anything - go big or go home... so... IF I do any stage upgrades it's stage 2 or nothing.
I would go for the blow-off valve and short-throw first (since that's what I did
). Your car is fast enough for now out of the box until you "get used" to it... then go for the exhaust. The short-throw and blow-off won't really make your car faster, but it adds to the cool factor of driving it... and a short-throw is always a solid investment I think...
or just put lot's of stickers on the car and weird multi-colored graphics... should add a couple hundred HP...

1st you should get an oil catch can (OCC). You can get it and all the stuff to install it for around $20, this will keep your engine clean and keep it from burning oil. Second should be a set of MSD Super Conductor plug wires which you can get for $40. You can get aa front strut tower brace for $40 as well. The Mopar Performance BOV is $70. These are the very first thing that I would do. Then, Modern Performance has the K&N Typhoon CAI for $199.99 with free shipping. Next I would go for the Mopar Performance STS with booger bushings for $120. After that I would get the Mopar Performance/Borla exhaust $350. Lastly I would get the DC rear strut tower brace $87 and the Mopar Performance Stage 2 with toys upgrade $1,350.

The 04's use the fuel injectors from the original Stage 1 package. So if you order the Stage 1 for an 04, you get the new PCM, but no injectors. The difference between the stock PCM and the Stage 1 is quite noticeable, both in performance and sound especially if you have the Mopar/Borla exhaust and the Mopr BOV...[sm=smiley20.gif]
Modern Performance had the cheapest price I could find for the Stage 1...I got the Mopar/Borla exhaust off of Ebay.....[&:]
