Dont know, if you buy it used and install and have a problem maybe the dealership can find out. Otherwise Its incredibly easy to install, if you buy used then get it re-skimmed at the dealership. My dealer did the re-skim, sure at first the mechanics refused to because they said it wouldnt work. Then i handed them the instructions off srtforums and 5 mins later the car was ready to go

If you buy it new, then yes. Even if you go back to stock, they will know that you had stg 1, 2, or 3 on your ride, or at least purchased them. Because of the vin. coding, they will have you on file. If you buy used and have someone skim it for you (not dealer) then you should be OK.

Is a re-skim like a full reflash or is it just a VIN relearn?
In order to do the Re-Skim you need a DRBIII.
The computer has to be plugged into the car, and you plug the DRB underneath the dash. You then go through the process of putting your VIN and SKIM key into the Stage 1 computer.
So if you have a DRB you could do it yourself. If you dont....a dealer or local shop could do it for you.
If you buy it used and have a problem with the car thats unrelated to the computer, I wouldnt even bother taking it out. It doesnt look any different than a regular computer (if you take the stickers off) and most techs wont even know the difference in the plug order on them. They're kinda dumb. But its such an easy swap that you could do it in 10 minutes if you needed to. Used may be your best bet, but the dealer really doesn't converse with flight systems.

I don't think too many folks have a $3,000 DRBIII laying around. haha. So what your saying is you want to install a stg 1 and if you run into car problems and want to get the car warrantied, you wan to remove the stg 1 as if it was never there correct? Well, depending on how dealerships are in your area, so long it is not an issue where the PCM is involved you should have no problems. Then again, you pay to play. If you dont want to run into warranty issues, keep your car stock.
