AGP Wastegate Tech ?'s......
Hello Eveyone, I have a 2 week old 2004 SRT-4 and already have begun the mods. The Stage 1 is on order form Modern Performance and I have already installed the Mopar Blow off valve conversion kit. The concerns I have are about the AGP wastgate actuator that is sitting in front of me. I have read that the PCM will adjust accordingly for the higher boost setting the AGP will supply, thus decreasing performance. I have read about not using the black valve and using a pink one. I am not entirely sure which one to use. Anyone out there w/some tech advice would be awesome. Thanks.
I know that in the norcalsrt4.com forum a couple of guys did some R&D on that issue and came up with a solution. I will have to do a search for the thread so give me some time.

The guys on the norcal forum were getting more out of stage 1 and mods than just stage 2 alone. Everything looks good on paper but it's after you install and try it yourself that you can tell people if it's worth it.
I know there are plenty of professional race car drivers and mechanics who would be more than happy to pay $300 for nearly a 5% increase in power!!!! And like byebye said, you can add other mods and get even more performance than just Stage 2. Murphy's Law applies to cars, too. The more you add/change to a car, the more there is to go wrong, break, get out of adjustment, etc...especially in critical areas like the turbo.
I plan to keep my pocket rocket for a long time, and I bought the extended warranty.
No need to tempt fate by modding the car in such a way that it causes a failure which I would have to pay for....[sm=smiley20.gif]

I can say though that those guys on the norcal forum have done alot of work to their cars and I can tell you that they don't always get the best results becuase of so much tinkering. I plan on stage 2 w/o toys because the install should be simple and I will probably just get susp mods after that. To each is own.

Even you would go with stage2 so why shouldn't I throw out some advice and say to skip stage1 for a measley 10hp? Their maybe people who already have stage1 and have to work with what they have, but if your starting from scratch then stage2 then add your mods onto that for even more sounds more economical.
To save time and labor, put all your mods on first, then either the Stage 1 or Stage 2 depending on what you prefer. Your PCM will only have to "relearn" all the mods one time, rather than going through the whole exercise everytime you add something on....[&:]
