Mopar Short Throw Shifter
Who all has done this mod? How long does it take to install? Does anyone regret doing this? Sport Compact Car was saying they don't if they notice any increase do to the fact that it's harder to shift. Just want some opinions before I get mine.
I have. It only takes around 20-30 minutes, the black cable retaining clips will be the hardest part by far. I love my Mopar STS and wouldn't even think of changing it back. I have read the same article and there is some truth to it., It does sometimes increase the shift effort since it is traveling the same distance on the bottom, while doing it faster since the top distance is lesser. I still need to install my booger bushings though, they may help out as well. I love mine and would recommend everyone to do this to theirs. The black clips are a SOB and someone mentioned the use of the claw end of a hammer for their removal, wish I had thought of that because it would have made it all easy as pie.
Its great i love it... it took me about 30 min to install and the hardest part was putting the cables in the booger bushings it was a tight fit... dont regret it at all and u for sure feel a difference.
Mine didn't but you just take 4 bolts out and put the bolts back in reconnect the cables. Pretty simple.

This was an awesome upgrade for me. If I bought another SRT-4, it would be the first thing I did to it.
Here's a great how-to link:
