Default 1st-2nd gear

Any have the same deal going on. 1st and 2nd gear when putting around at kinda like parking lot speeds, that when you let off the gas the car kinda gets a little jerky. Is that normal or what. i know the desciption is kinda blah. Thanks

Ok .......
1) the Throttle Postition Sensor may be going or is bad if it is "hella" jerky
- I had a Hella jerky prob w/ mine and i installed a new sensor and it fixed it ALOT.

2) in low gears due to the Torq there will be some jerkin action but it shoudlent be "Hella" bad. P

-the sensor is easy and Hard to remove/install.
1) its easy to find - u cant miss it
2) its a bitch to change cuz
a) u need a hex wrench with the lil star pattern to remove the bolts (metric)
b) its cramped in there so you gotta us small adjustments to remove / install a new one (if you got big hands have fun) :P

Ok, let me rephrase... Mine is jerky as well due to torque and the gearing we have... i believe it is normal. Using the clutch more than usual will solve this problem, but can be annoying and pointless....

Yup, the jerking is something you have to live with. I just drive mine flat out in 1st hear around any parking lots....smooths out the jerking but kills the gas mileage.

Well i drive 2 standars - Standard transmission is the way to go IMO. (my Vette does not jerk u around in low gears)
If the Jerking seems Not Normal i suggest changeing the TPS (throttle position sensor) $85 bones from the dealer (atleast my dealer)and you can change it yourself. I changed mine and it was a dramatic difference.

You should be able to put the car in 1st or 2nd and have it coast w/o it jerking much if any. B4 i changed the sensor it would jerk bad VROOM...Vroom....VROOM... vroom - back and forth. = NOT normal and Highly Irritateing. U should not have to be working the clutch continiously to keep her smooth.
There will be slight movement but not enough to seem irritateing. Good test Put her in 1st and give her alil gas to get her moving some and ease out on the clutch .... ur car should be able to just coast under its normal power (idle)round 5mph or so w/o jerking you around. U can do the same in 2nd just get her up to speed to where u shif to 2nd and let off the gas and let her coast.

what i do is just slightly feather the clutch (slip it a littly at a time) but thats only in first gear and when im not throttling, and this is also only at speeds not exeeding 15 mph, so i dont abuse the clutch. but yeah, it makes it comfortable, specialy since my girlfreind rides with me alot, i dont want her to think the car is uncomfortable, i want her to respect it like a damn religious shrine!! or........your tps could need replacing.
