Default Stage 2 wastegate, Stage 0 computer

I've got a small dilemma. I have a 2005 SRT-4 that I plan on setting up with a Stage 1 computer, Stage 2 W/G, Mopar BOV and the M/B exhaust. I have the wastegate and BOV in my hands and I'm still waiting for the computer and exhaust. Here is the question for the experts in here. Would it hurt anything to install the Stage 2 W/gate and BOV now, before I get the computer ?

It looks like I could get to the BOV bolts easier by taking the W/gate off so it seems those 2 should be replaced together. I just don't know if I need to keep waiting for the computer. I'm not concerned whether these parts will provide any performance gains right now, I'm assuming they won't. I just don't want to hurt the car in any way. Won't the Stage 0 computer still control the Stage 2 wastegate in a reasonably stock kind of way ? Or should I just keep waiting for everything and do it all at once. I hate waiting !!!

Any advice you all can give would be greatly appreciated.

if you leave the wga on the stock line (black) and set it for about 15psi, it will be just fine. because you have an 05 and they're quite a bit pickier than other years, don't be surprised if you throw a overboost CEL. that will go away when you get the s1.

when installing the mopar blue plate be sure to use some copper rtv on it to ensure that it doesn't leak!

ok I kinda got the same problem... I am a good friend of a kid that has one and we did some upgrades to it.. he got the stage 1 kit.. and cold air and B&B exhuast. and then he wanted it to go a little faster. So we got the stage 2 wastegate for it.. Well... it rips off the line but falls on it face up high.. The boost gauge in second gear will hit around 20-25.... then drop below ten.. on the stock boost guage he avg. 15-17 psi.. Now when you talk about black line is teh the boost line that goes to the wastegate? We are looking for a steady 20-22 psi out of his car. Another weird thing is going 65 5th gear he can put it to the floor and it will spike to like 30 psi.. but just under heavy accleration in like 3rd at 65 he will only get 10 psi.. please get back to me ASAP on if it is just the line going to the waste gate or what the problem might be..

any heavy acceleration in a low rpm will cause a massive spike, that's just how turbos work. it's also a very bad thing for the turbo so don't do it. if you need power, downshift.

you will not get 22psi out of this turbo, stop trying you'll just end up blowing it. the stock turbo is only good for about 19psi, and some people will even argue with you about that one. if you want more boost out of the car you can get a aftermarket wga like the kinetic or agp and you can safely set that to spike about 19 and hold 16. anything higher than that and you need to do fuel mods as you'll be running lean, and you're not going to get much higher from the stocker anyway.

well with that wastegate we got now.. what can we do to keep it at 19 psi? becuase we do want a little more boost with spending the 1,00's of dollars for a new turbo, and wga is that the wastegate?

you're not going to keep it at 19psi with that wga. you can try running off the green line and adding a mbc to the mix, but i doubt that you'll have much luck. the spring is just too weak.

ok could you fill me in when your talking about the green line is that the line that goes to the wastegate. I am good with cars but I am dumb *** hell when it comes to this car and turbocharged cars.. I know the line to teh ewastegate now is black. and I see there is like three selenoids by where the airbox is located and I see a black line green line and I forget the other color line are those the lines i wanna switch??

the other one is the blue line. you can run off either the blue or the green, doesn't matter. most people are using the green, it tends to spike less.

you do know that running 19psi is not safe on the stock fuel system...i really do not recommend you trying to do this without the appropriate fuel upgrades.
