A good set of snowtires would be a must.... other than that they are about average.... until you boost = )

Osmosis, I live in Virginia and it sounds like the weather is about the same here. We never had anything over 4-5 inches last year and I had serious doubts about this car and those BFG tires handling in any snow but it really did great. Stay out of the throttle and off the ice and you'll make it to work and back. Once I get some miles on the car, these stock BFG's have to go though. I'll buy some ultra high performance all season radials. Tire Rack has the Kumho Ecsta's in a 205/50R17 and the reviews are pretty darn good for about $90 a tire.

I just re read your post. The car ran fine in the cold weather, no problems there either.

It does?
I figure since the air is colder and more dense = higher compression ratio thus increasing the boost and power?
Whats the point of a cold air intake then?

If not ..... damn that sux and ive been missinformed this whole time (

No problems up here in Canada. Get a good set of winter tires and you'll be fine. BTW Yokohama makes a low profile winter tire that are the same size as the stock ones. I just threw the winters on the stock rims and bought new rims for the summer tires. Oh, and listen to Burnout, NO BOOST!

Colder air is more dense and makes more power... but our pcm's compensate for that in cold weather and regulate the boost accordingly.... never notice when its real hot outside you boost more ? .... I'm not sure how the stage'ed pcm's react to those conditions tho......would like to find out if anyone knows.

I drove 15 miles in ice and everyone was sliding but my OEM tires......the stock tires...did great NO BOOST. My bro was behind me in a 98 4 door civic and he was sliding everywhere thank goodness neither of us wrecked our cars....especially me!
