its only a prototype, but it might be an interesting kit. any thoughts on how it will work? twin turbo ona 4cyl???

sorry if its a repost, but its new to me so it may be new to others as well.

Damn. Thats a bad *** custom job. Ide love to see it once its finished and know how much power its puttin down and how fast it is.

Isn't it better to have a huge turbo than a twin turbo? Don't u get a larger turbo lag with two of them?
Looks cool though.

Thats the point of 2 turbo's.One spools the other one so there is minimal lag

this is my understanding:
one spools at the lower end of the power band, then once there gets too much exhaust flowing over it and its spinning its little heart out as fast as it can, the second one kicks in... and hence boost throughout the powerband. is this how they work or are they truly 'twin' turbos as in identical?

if they offer it as a kit, i might have to look into that *drools

Well one benefit of Twin turbo's is that you don't have to run as much boost as if you had just one turbo of the same size for making the same amount of power.

Personally, I think that a four cyl. motor will perform much better off of a single turbo. I'm sure it can be scientifically proven, but I don't have time for all that. Now a 6 or 8 cyl (if it's a v motor especially) is a different story.
