HOLY BOOST LEAK BATMAN!!!

8psi in all gears??? you gota a leak somewhere bud! inspect, check and double check all of your lines and connections. what modifications do you have? ghetto occ? you should be peaking at 16/17 and then holding around 14psi STOCK (first gear is not quite 14)

at idle you should read a vac of about 20 give or take 1. perhaps your boost gauge is in need of attention? either your gauge is way off or your leaking massive amounts of boost somewhere

Yes you either have a major boost leak or you have a broken boost gauge.....I had to replace mine after only 8k miles

explain a little further... are you talking about the little hose on the stock BOV or do you have an aftermarket? most aftermarket have no 'hoses' although i have seen a strange setup in which a T was placed by the intake manifold, on the vac line from the pvc -> intake manifold... off of the T, a line went down under a little ways where a BOV was placed... never seen anything like it before or after
