P1188 TIP SENSOR PERFORMANCE

how can i fix this ??

just extend the wires that are going to the tps sensor. the ground wire brakes in the sleeve which is what causes the code. the wires are too short so when the engine torques it stretches them. you can either cut and solder on new wires yourself or there's a tps sensor wire kit that you can get that has longer wires. it's about $20 or so and you can get it from s&pdevelopment. call and ask for james if you go that route, or i think it might even be on their website and you can just order it right from there.

 

would this make my car "jerky" under decelleration ??

the car has always been a little jerky i guess because of the clutch in it.. .but now its jerky jerky but not while on the gas [>:]

 

Currently have this problem and have see many "way" to fix this.
So far psi chick's seems the most logical.
Any word on wether this works and/or is the correct way to fix this issue?
