Default windshield seal?!

This happened a mounth ago, but I figured I would share, I don't know if has been fixed yet, but I haven't been near my car for 5 weeks. Before I left I was driving the freeway and a nissan r type or something was wanting to race or something so I got the srt up to about a buck, buck-20 and then just played with them, another car joined in and we had some fun. I got off the freeway and stopped at a friends house and when I got out of the car I noticed the windshield seal was half off/out and it got black sealant sh*t all over the roof. What's up with that! Can the car handle going fast. I will be back in the states in 4 weeks, and I will let everyone know what the dealer said, my friend was going to take it in for me. So there seems to be some quality control issues, though not major, but I kinda scared that things started to come loose at high speed. Has anybody else had this problem?

I have heard of three or four of these. One local to me, quite a mess on his roof and sunroof. Do you have a blue by chance?

I did hear/read of one case where a sunroof "popped out" at about 145 MPH.....other than that, it sounds like a (thankfully) rare problem.....let us know how they fix it and what they say....

Me too, that's one of the things mine is going into the shop for. After the first week I noticed that it was loose when I was washing it. Mine has came half way out twice, once coming back from the Chrysler Classics and once when I went to a store (I never exceeded 85 MPH during any of this driving). It left the black silicon on the roof and the sunroof.[sm=smiley35.gif][sm=smiley7.gif] Mine was coming out on the passenger side, the drivers side seems fine, is yours the same side? Mine seems to be in there pretty good anymore, if I pick at it it seems to be in there good and tight now, don't know why.[sm=smiley5.gif] I'm still going to make them re-do the top seal regardless.[sm=smiley2.gif]

No my car is black, maybe the heat had something to do with it, or it wasn't completely cured.....My came loose on the drivers side, and only half came loose. I shoved it back in and didn't really drive much after that. When I get back, I will let you know how the fix went. My freind is good friends with the sales man so I think it will be taken care of properly. PEACE

Yours will probably be fine by the time you get back. I think it's more likely to be a curing thing. Mine seems to be all but fine now, but I'm gonna make them fix it anyway.[sm=smiley2.gif]
