Ordered S1 Turbo today
Go back over and look for the "Stage 2 customer satisfaction poll" While there are cases of issues, heck, I had a leaks myself, but tightening things up has solved any problems I had. Only two bad connector stories. I love to drive my car every day, as does almost every Stage 2 owner, even those that had to fix minor issues.
Stock, Stage 1, Stage2, Stage 3...it doesn't matter, if you're happy with your SRT-4, then life is good![sm=smiley20.gif]
Well...maybe "wake it up" wasn't the best way to put it considering that the SRT-4 is wide awake right off the showroom floor, but you know what I mean.
The ONLY reason that I'm not going with S2 w/toys right now is availability. I wouldn't want to order anything and not have some sort of time frame when I'll receive it. After a lot of reading, it seems like many S2 owners are either not installing it right, are using a stock exaust, or are not using all of the parts supplied with the kit.
I should be receiving the Forge BOV any day now and as far as intake, I'm leaning toward the Psi-Fi CAI. It's not as pretty as some others, but has some other very good qualities.
This is just too much fun!

Agreed, Stage 1 is a great deal, I enjoyed the heck out of mine!!!!!!!! As is the new owner, whom I see jamming around town a lot.
I was loking real hard at the Psi-Fi or IPP intakes, then Iceman showed theirs. I'm waiting now for more info to surface on it, all we have right now area couple of photos and a dyno claim, not backed up. And the fact that Mopar jas given it their seal of approval. But it's entirely possible that's a money thing, but personally I doubt it. Known feature so far
Metal battery relocation tray with a protective coating (Needed to reduce the number of sharp turns the air takes)
Solenoid bank relocated under the air pipe (Just a look thing)
Black plastic for no heat gain, and stock look
For me, the kicker is that I keep stock appearance, while removing the airbox, so I have roon for a standalone fluid tank for my sprayers, since I refuse to use my windsheild washer tank. And if I can show it to me dealer in the Mopar catalog, no warranty isssues, since my dealer has a "If the mod says Mopar on the box, no problems"
Oh, the wake up thing was a joke, and not a slam of getting S1, believe me!!! I was laughing becuase you are thinking it's ONLY a "little wake up". I'm waiting for the "Holy Crud!!!!! WOW!!!!" post I fully expect. It WILL change the car so much, you are going to freak. I know I did with just S1, then again when I put the Mopar exhaust on. WOOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!! both times.

Totally agree. The Stage 1 combined with the BOV and Mopar/Borla exhaust made it feel like I was driving a different (and even faster!) car. I have no regrets whatsoever, I'm a VERY happy camper!!!![sm=smiley17.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]
I had a bad connection that wasn't the connectors fault :-), I did break one of the connectors ( IC sprayer ) still to this day no one from DCX can give me the correct part number to replace it. But at least my Dial-A-Boost works, Race gas switch kicks a$$ ( Like Dial-A-Boost on top of Dial-A-Boost :-) Other than that I AM happy with Stage 2... Only true problems is keeping the power to the ground.... Spin city !
You're right about the new owner of your S1, it seems pretty easy to find somone to take it off your hands for a couple hundred dollars when you're ready to step up to S2.
As far as stock appearance on the CAI, I agree. The MP/Iceman will be another good choice. From what I've seen they really did smooth out the air flow with the battery relocation. I'm in no rush for a CAI since there have been some people with awesome numbers from the stock box.
Mounting your sprayer bottle in the open area would be a great mod. I was thinking the same thing, and then read your idea on the other forum and laughed.
You're very fortunate to have a dealership with that attitude. I have talked to two in my area about S2 and I had to correct them both when they told me that it would "void my warranty". They finally agreed with me that it would not, but that's not the kind of people I care to deal with.
I can't wait for "Holy Crud!!!!! WOW!!!!" Hahahaha!
