Default Transmissions

I heard their a guy using the 41TE transmission in a SRT4 in this forum. I am running a sxt with the 40TE transmission in a 04SXT and need a LSD for it any idea wear I can get one? Looking to have about 450bhp. Tried howell, modern performance, and even quaife no one makes one that I can find. Any help would be great! The guys in the neon forum don't know where I can get one. Maybe swapping to the 41TE would be the ticket. What do you guys think?

are you swapping out for the 2.4? as im not too sure how well the 2.0 will hold up pushing 450. i wouldnt expect it to last too awfully long without some major upgrading from the block up

I'm not doing the 2.4 swap. Just trying to get some info on the 41TE transmission or a lsd for the 40TE transmission. The 450bhp will take major work and money I've already priced just about everything I'll need but this one wheel wonder isn't going to cut it!!

I'm not possative, but I think that you might have the same tranny as I do in my 95 neon. The Obx or Quafe should work. I'm useing the Obx,or will be as soon as I get it back from srt swap.

I take it that the part are for a manual trans since you are talking about a srt4 swap? I'm running a automatic. Is there anyone running a turbo automatic and what are they doing for a LSD or are they putting all the power to one wheel?

Again I'm not possative but I think the Obx will work with the auto also.Phone your local tranny shop and ask them,as you will prabably need to have it build to handle the extra power ( or torque)'I know some who is running a 2.5 turbo automatic and a ltd slip the same as in my 1st gen neon (the one I'm useing with srt motor)
