Do I have to change my oil every 3,000 miles or can I wait till 4 or 5 thousand? (Obviously it's Mobile 1 synthetic...if you didn't read the title...for the Jacka$$es )

On another note, I installed my AGP WGA. It works fine...I'm spiking 20 and holding 16. It feels great right now, but should I upgrade some fuel mods? Map clamp, TIP, fuel rail, injectors??? (I have stage 1 and CAI)

 

I'd play it safe and stick to what the factory recommends......3,000 miles. The major reason syn oil is recommended is that it stands up to the turbo generated high temps better than dino oil. Even so-called extended mileage oils like Amsoil syn tell you in little-bitty letters on the bottle that turbo vehicles should have their oil changed at the factory recommended times......

3000 mi or 3 mo's whichever comes first for my driving conditions is what the manual states.

 

i would change the oil every 3k as everyone else had said....but you should definately upgrade the fuel to make sure that the increased psi is not leaning out your turbo

 

Rule of thumb.....on cars that are turbocharged, oil is being used and worn down quicker, due to the routing through the turbo, so typically what i did on my talon was change it every 2800, but so you know, the compounds in the oil.....ANY oil... start to break down at 3k miles and should be changed by then to avoid any problems later on down the road with the car....i always use mobil 1 because its been proven by the everyday shmoe and the professionals to hold up to some serious abuse....
