Default Valve cover to CAI hose

Can I just cap the connection on my cold air intake that comes from the valve cover and then simply install a breather filter to the hose coming from the valve cover ?

How much oil does that hose really suck up anyway ? I've got a catch can on the PCV side.

Yes, that is exactly what I did. Not much oil comes out of that side at all. I periodically check my breather, and after 15k miles I have yet a need to change it due to oil build up...

Neither suck up anything. The Breather off of the valve cover releases, not blows. The CAI portion does nothing. Cap it.

If the hose is connected between the valve cover and the CAI the CAI sucks it then doesn't it ?

No, it's the other way around. It's actually breathing INTO the cai. The cai isn't sucking anything at that point.

I just went to Pep Boys this past weekend and bought an AEM universal chrome breather. It was $10, it said it was designed to fit 3/8 to 1/2 inch breather hoses. It was a damned tight fit but it's on, looks pretty good too.
