anyone have this problem yet?
Ok so a lady in a minivan hit my baby ( i have a 04 srt 4) caused almost $8000 in damage, anyone have problems with the shops getting parts? it took this shop 2 months to get my car done and still didnt get it done right. also, anyone have to deal with insurance with depreciation value compensation? according to the dodge dealer in Jax NC, my car is only worth $16000 ( i only have 35k miles on it) and after the accident it will only be worth 12k to them and what they would give me for trade in is only $8000 ( since thats whats its worth now) just could use some advise from anyonew whose gone through this hell.
After I got hit by a Yukon, I took it to the dealer's bodyshop.......a week later it was good to go.

What insurance company do you have? They normally work with the other person's insurance company........

Damn, sounds like a messed up situation... In CA, by law the insurance company can't force you to use any shop, its your choice.
My SRT-4 was totaled a couple months ago and I got $100 less than I paid for it (not including tax) from insurance.
I would fight this or something, it sounds like you're getting screwed. Using all used parts and what not, that's BS. I also just got in a little accident in my new car, $5800 in damage to the front end, all brand new OEM parts used, paid for by insurance. The car should be at the least in pre-accident condition. I hope your states laws on this stuff are good.

If the other driver is at fault then they need to pay for the repairs TO YOUR satisfaction (meaning using NEW OEM parts at a dealership if that's what you want), if they refuse take them to court.
her insurance is Nationwide. they told us they cant tell us where to take the car. as long as its just a body shop. so we went to one and OMG its just a mess. i called and told them i didnt want junkyard/used parts. they told me that they have to use that unless they cant get them in "state law satisfactory condition". we also went completly over the car today, they used a REGULAR NEON front door to replace mine. (we foud that out cause of the sticker on the side of the door said to use 14" or 15" tires only) AND it was red b4 they attempted to paint it blue. and my back doors are different as well(also red). there are scratches paint bubbles, and my hood is offset. you can still see where she pushed us into the mailboxes. the car was extreamly wet when we got it so we didnt see all this stuff most of it we did but like paint bubbles andstuff we didnt. not to mention we just drove from FL to NC to get it and had to leave right away for us to be back at work today. her insurance tried to tell us to take it back and i am SO not driving back to NC for that shop to do another 2 month crap job. they said we'll have to see if we can get a shop there to fix it. it is WAY FAr from preaccident condition, and im pissed. i know i havent had anything done to it, its completly stock except the BOV but i love the car, the insurance company just cant get it through their heads they dont make them anymore, and that they put REGULAR neon doors onthere really blew my top. you can see the difference in the contor lines. it just looks like crap.
WARNING: nationwide sucks when it comes to "difficult" cars, and if you live in NC, do not use E&J Automotive body shop.

They can't do you like that. You own them. An insurance companies primary goal is to slit your and the shop's throat (ESPECIALLY the shop's ). Time for a lawyer.
