first race today, teg was gsr and type r head with exhaust and aem fuel rail aem cai im stock we did a 40-120 and a 40-110 first race i walked him pretty bad i was expectiong him to keep up a little bit but anyway by about 5-6 cars and the second race i missed 3rd and still beat him by 3-4. just wondering how will i do against a built turboed gsr teg with type r internals and also a 99 mustang cobra i think its stock maybe a few small mods?

 

Turbo'd GSRs are pretty freakin' fast if done right. If the 98 Cobra's stock, you'll take him.

 

alright thanks man, i used to have a 98 neon then i upgraded now all they say is that i have a neon on steriods so im gonna beat these two kids with a teg and the mustang to shut em up. but anyways thanks for the input.

 

GSR's have no tourque, and the GSR, IS a type R motor in itself it's the B18 motor with a better head and bottom end but what they lack in TQ they gain in revs

If he turbo's his GSR...well the way its supposed to be done (the right way) he will definately put sweat on your forhead.

As for the cobra, it'll be close, but my money is on you.

lol thats funny, well i found out that the mustang is stock so ill probably race him but the gsr is built and turboed so im going to wait until i get a few mods first i was thinking a 3in dp and a msd ignition coil and wires and plugs if i can, then ill see where i stand with him.

 

Last month at OSW, I saw a turbo Teg run 11.9xx. I'm not sure what engine it had, but it had slicks and a really good driver...it might of had nitrous too. If you race the Cobra from a roll you'll stand a chance. If you race from a dig...I think you'll get walked...badly!

 

98 Cobra's run low 14's stock.... if you can drive you can roll away from the Cobra from a dig... from a roll it should be bye bye horsey ~

 

so best outta 3 on the stang. do one run from a dig, one from say 20 roll and another from 40 roll, see what happens. just beware that the stang does have some punch once you get into triples. (although any street racing should avoid such high speeds, as there is just too much unpredictable that can happen, not to mention gettiing caught) if he is anywhere near intelligent you might be able to negotiate a top speed at which you will shut it down to avoid the 'i let off before you did' argument.

 

alright thanks im going to do a dig to 110 a 20 and 30 to 125. and were doing it way back on this old guys road so all we have to worry about is deer. but id take a deer any day than a car or person and we always have people behind us and in front to check ahead for anything. but back to that teg holy **** thats fast so im gonna wait until stage 2/3 for him. i think ill get the mustang the kid is a dumbass he claims he misses third every race he looses in but idk he probably did so well find out and ill post to tell you guys what happened.
