A 52 inch plasma T.V is the same as any color T.V., it's just a T.V.. A 15 room mansion with tennis courts, swimming pools and 6 bathrooms is just a house, same as the double wide trailer placed on a foundation. Shaquille O'Neal and the center playing at my local high school basketball team are both just basketball players, no difference, both just tall guys playing basketball. Peyton Manning is just a Quarterback same as Heath Shuler who never made it in the NFL, but he did play quaterback.

I honestly couldn't care less what you call my car, I laugh at all the jokes all the time but the fact is it's still an SRT-4.

With all due respect to PSI ( she's been great to me, and I love her for all her help ) and to hozay who I don't really know, but respect nonetheless.. The USA is the land of opportunity, the land of choices, you can buy a Mustang, or you can can buy a Cobra SVT Mustang, I went to the Mitsubishi dealer looking for an EVO, yep, I thought about it, but all they had were Lancers and the OZ Rallye Lancers, no EVO's, so when I went shopping for my SRT and the lot was full of Neons, but they had 3 SRT-4's left, I chose the SRT-4 because while it may look like a Neon, it's not a Neon, it's an SRT-4.

You wouldn't go to the Mopar Nationals and walk up to some guy with a classic 1970 RoadRunner and say, wow, that's the nicest Satellite I've ever seen. You would not only insult the guy by saying that and then after correcting you about why you were wrong to call his car a Satellite, you would leave him wondering what exactly it is you know about cars.

When you go to the track does the announcer say, in lane 1 we have a Mustang Cobra and in lane 2 we have a Neon ? I doubt he would, unless you were driving flamings Neon SXT that day.

Maybe the 2003 and 2004 SRT-4's had Neon badges on them, I've really never looked since I know my 2005 doesn't have it on there anywhere.

Hell, I work with nothing but Corvette and Mustang people and my car is generally referred to as that POS in the parking lot, it doesn't bother me in the least. I'm too old to stress about someone elses thoughts, opinions and prejudices.

I wonder what the people at Chryslers PVO division would call it ? A "freaking Neon", probably not, they put too much thought and work into the car to let the car be belittled by simply calling it a Neon. They could have put badges on it saying Neon SRT-4, or they could have just called it a Neon RT, but they didn't. They decided that their efforts deserved the name SRT-4.

Hopefully you'll still answer all my dumb questions in the future PSI because while we disagree about the name we still love the same type of car, and I still love you for being nice enough to answer those dumb questions I ask !!!

I just call mine a neon and then people go "Oh thats nice" then they see it and go "Wow that IS nice" Then after the first trip of being squished into the viper seats, they want a neon as well.

damn, you guy's are a little too excited over this subject. With all the 17yr old joker's out there smacking up their "SRT-4's" I have no problem calling mine a Neon.

who is excited?,,,,,I thought we were having a decent conversation / discussion. Nothing much better in life than a good debate, other than sex, fast cars and fast motorcycles and my Washinton Redskins when they win, pretty much in that order too.

We all have an opinion and this is a great place to express it.
