Hey guys i've just wondering how much torque the SRT-4 had? and whats the curb weight of the SRT-4? and do u guys get pissed off when people say its a Neon SRT-4? lol

 

1. stock it has 250tq
2. about 3000lbs
3. it is a neon, so no.

 

Call it what you like, the guys at work give me a hard time, all the time. Just reminds me of the old saying about "sticks and stones", lol. It's an SRT-4 everytime I win though

 

its like "white men cant jump" or whatever the movie was. he shows up and looks like another white chump. so if he gets beat he loses nothing and is still a chump, but if he wins the game (race) the other guy got beat by a chump in everyone's eyes.

then again ever video i see out there of an srt winning, i see comments like 'it was heavily modded' or 'there were more mods than they had listed' and so on

 

The stock flywheel rating of 250 torque is what they actually put out at the wheels.
My SRT-4's shipping sticker has it at 2869 lbs.
Calling it a Neon SRT-4 is fine by me, it's just the ignorant morons that say it's JUST a Neon that I have a problem with as it is far more than JUST a Neon. I get equally pissed if someone calls a GTX just a Satellite or a GTO just a LeMans or an STi just an Imprezza, even though they are made from the same base frame and some body or interior panels, they are completely different in every performance related area.

 

indeed... i know some people that if a person saids its a Neon they get really pissed off and such... but yea like u said it is a Neon SRT-4... a Neon on steroriods and son of the Viper lol

 

Thank you Roadrunner you said everything that I have been thinking about the NEON or SRT4 argument.....if it is called only a "NEON" then it irritates me but if it is called a NEON SRT4...then it is not so bad....look at the window sticker that was in the car for sale....and it clearly says DodgeSRT4.....and I have beat many people racing by telling them that is it a "NEON" then I let the cat out of the bag and they quickly realize that it is not just a "NEON"

 

Wow, I've haven't seen one of these threads in a while. It's a freakin' Neon, get over it. I never call mine a SRT-4 or Neon SRT-4 for that matter. Who cares?

 

I have to agree with RoadRunner, the SRT-4 is a Neon the same way a GTO is a LeMans, a Z28 is a Camaro, a Mach 1 429 Cobra Jet is a Mustang, a Wrx is an Imprezza, a Super Bee is a Coronet. Strange thing is my SRT-4 doesn't say Neon on it anywhere. When someone asks you,,,,,,,,what kind of car do you drive you have to answer with something,,,,,,so what is it ? The red car outside ? No, it's the SRT-4 outside.
