yeah good explanation.... you said hard launches. i dont know about you folks but if i launch from like 2500 i get wheel hop, with my old car i could bring it up to 5k and have less wheel hop (it was all wheel drive but still 2500 is weak).

one thing to consider with all this... you stiffen one thing up, it means something else has to take all this torque... whether it's the tires, cv shafts, or trans, etc., etc.... you tighten something up, something else has to work harder... much like rear wheel drive - bullet proof the trans and rear end, then watch u-joints explode, etc... just some thought on it...

Thanks everybody.[sm=smiley9.gif][sm=smiley4.gif]

AWD vehicles never get the chance to experience wheel hop since they simply grab and go. When they do initally break them loose it's for only about half a second and they leave 4 patches about a foot long and then they're gone. My R/T had both the stiffer rubber Mopar Performance motor mounts and bobble strut and the mounts had Rex inserts in them and it still had wheel hop issues. This was probably due to it being an open differential, this will also make wheel hop elimination even hard to achieve. The tires can also have an effect on this as well.

It's a good thing that the SRT-4 is made fairly strong or the inserts could cause weaker driveline parts to break after a while of abuse. If you modify your SRT-4 fairly heavily you will need to get stronger everything, especially the CV shafts which are easily damaged by severe wheel hop.
