stage 2 throws the same code. it doesn't effect the car, but you will fail emissions testing if any code appears.

With all the 18 wheelers from Mexico now driving thru Texas that don't come even close to our emission standards, it seems unfair to pick on the state residents.....[:@]

That's the good 'ol EPA sticking it up good and hard in your....tailpipe. Funny thing how they don't seem to care about the vehicles that burn the worst and crudest fuel and also happen to run the most time and miles as well. I see and deal with big truck all day and they come in with absolutely zero emissions equippment what so ever, they go around spewing huge plumes of black and blue smoke, but they want to put my car that runs 7,000 miles a year in a crusher, WTF![sm=smiley7.gif][sm=smiley7.gif] If they actually wanted to clean up the air, they would be making these big trucks conform to extremely tight emissions standards and not worry about my little car. If they are finally doing something about the trucks in your state then it's about damn time they did somewhere. Now maybe they'll ease up a bit on the cars, but not likely.[&o]

Thanks to NAFTA, the Mexican rigs don't even have to pass a safety inspection, much less an emissions test.....When I come up on one on the highway, I get around them FAST!![:@]

Me too, mainly to avoid the rocks that fly out of their tires.[:@] Some can be as large as a football if it's stuck between the dual tires, and I thought the nickle and quarter sized ones were bad.[sm=smiley3.gif][sm=smiley35.gif][sm=smiley7.gif][sm=smiley7.gif]

The Mexican rigs use recapped tires and are constantly throwing their treads...had one do it in front of me a few weeks ago, missed me and the car by a few inches...[:@]

Damn, that's a scary thought.[sm=smiley3.gif][sm=smiley5.gif] Glad to hear you and your SRT-4 made it through untouched.[sm=smiley20.gif] Shortly after purchasing my R/T I had two incidences with rocks from tires, the first was from a semi's tires and the second was from a pick up's tires and both times it hit the windshield. Each time it hit so hard that I thought for sure it had to have blown the windshield to hell and back, but thankfully the windshield glass is pretty frickin' tough stuff and it only barely chipped it at all.[sm=smiley3.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]

How much does this mobil 1 oil cost. I just read this and told them to put it in, and I usually just have regular put in, but they cahrged me 60 bucks and if you minus out the 20 I pay it was an extra 40 bucks. I think this is right, I dont have the bill in front of me but i will post what it was when I get it.

Needless to say, never buy oil (of ANY kind) at the dealer....auto stores/Wal Mart can always beat their price by a mile. I paid $4.49 for Mobil 1 10W-30 at Pep Boys. You can pick up a 5 quart jug at Wal Mart for about $20. Watch for sales and stock up.

Exactly as Dusty stated, 5qt jug for 20.0something cents. I also picked up the mobile-1 oil-filter @ Autozone for 9.99. Took 'em down to the dealer, and a no-hassle install. While they were changing the oil, I went inside to the parts dept, and found a 6" antenna for my car. I should have some pics up tomorrow. Going to go to Costco in the morning, and buy a new jack/jackstands, and clean the rims/shocks.
