Default AGP Intercooler question

I'm getting ready to purchase the AGP hard pipe setup and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the AGP mini direct mount intercooler ?

According to AGP it's the largest intercooler I can put in the car without removing the bumper beam. I want to keep the beam for front end structural integrity so I'm looking for a direct fit type cooler.

Will this cooler provide any moderate HP / torque gains ?

Thanks !!!

what mods do you have already? for example, a stock srt wont see too much gains for theh price of adding an intercooler as opposed to say a S2. but if your running more boost, already modded up and such then some more cooling would benefit much more. anyone with experience putting on a new ic can feel free to bash my opinion to bits

It's a Stage 1 with CAI & a M/B exhaust, stage 2 wastegate, MpX 62 mm throttle body, NGK Iridium plugs and Magnecor 8.5 mm wires. The boost as much as I try to adjust it down to a max of 15 or so still wants to spike around 18 and holds 15 in 3rd, 4th and 5th. Ive got a TurboXS MBC I want to install soon but I can't seem to get the boost spike down, anyway, that's a different story I guess.

The AGP intercooler is "advertised" to cool the air quite a bit better than stock and the hardpipes I want to install just to not have to worry about boost leaks from the plastic hoses.

WhiteMnt's car w/ a built engine and Mopar S3 ran low 11's with the AGP direct fit. In fact it might have gone 10's with it, I don't remember if they went with a full FMIC before or after breaking into the 10's.

unless you're gonna be in the 300+ area there are better things to spend money on than a direct fit. the gains are generally minimal, especially compared to a full race mount.

If you are at all interested, I do have 1 Exhaust Depot direct fit FMIC in stock that's the last of our shipment. bar & plate core w/ cast curved endtanks. Will not require removal of the crash bar and you do not have to cut/notch the front bumper for it to fit as you would w/ the AGP. I'm selling it for $300 plus shipping. Brand new in box. Let me know if you are at all interested. Yes, you will see results with this intercooler, the stock fmic has a major problem with heat soak.
