AGP catch can
im assuming you mean the intake manifold? anyhoe... all the occ does is separate the oil from the air passing through it. the oil and junk is heavy, so it falls to the bottom of the can while the air simply passes through the top.
here is a ghetto sketch of it:

yes, they are designed differently. mine have the intake/outlet side by side, others they are at opposite ends or even different heights. i feel the best ones would have both inlet/loutlet on the same side with the outlet at the top and intake about halfway down. true it would need emptied more often than both at the top, but the oil and sludge would have less chance of being sucked UP and BACK than any other way.
Dont get the AGP, it blows ***, when i got it it had broken solder on it and the oil it was collecting was leaking into my belt grrr[:@] , listen to me and get any other type other than AGP they failed with the catch cans in my book.
I have a agp and the outlets are a different hieghts. I just dont want the oil comin in to be goin back out to the intake manifold. I was worrying if this was doin it.. and i put teflon tape on the bottom bolt to make sure it doesnt leak.....
yes, teflon tape everywhere. mine was initially not tight at the bottom and oil was leaking out onto my tranny. my wife was saying it wasnt catching anything, but here it was just leaking out. now its filling on up. im pretty happy with the NRG, although theinlet and outlet are sidebyside. i kinda ruined my other one by stripping out the plug hole BAH!!! guess i could have someone weld it shut???

it did not leak from the bottom screw but from the solder itself it had small holes.
