evo vs. srt. . . . check it out
I'll tell ya why they're tough. In my area there's nary an Evo or STI that hasn't been modded. Those guys are not afraid to lay out some dough for upgrades. Very few stockers.
G35? easy kill. I've got one of those notched on my shifter handle.

sounds like i should stroll out to your areas and have a little fun out there, theres nothig here but civics who try to run u over and over again. and constantly paying the price for 93 octance gets a little expensive after awhile
Yeah I'd like to show ya around but sad as it may be, street racing and even legal racing is not popular amongst most of these posers. I lot of nice machinery in the Kalamazoo area never gets tested. Now Flint and Detroit? That's a whole different story. Street racing and drag racing is a way of life for some people there. Also, cops around the 'zoo are ****'s. They definetely do not play. They would not even show Tokyo drift in the theaters here. Superconservatives.
wow. . . im glad im deep in the heart of texas! there's never a day when i drive around town and not happen tofind something to race. where you guys from? i never heard of kalamazoo?? i guess it's up north considering you mentioned detroit?
dude this is where youre supposed to glorify the srt...go to the evo forum for the opposite...J/K! im not understanding how anyone can say that the evo or sti or srt sucks. theyre cars for under 30k$ that have capabilities of walking all over 80K$ porches and 60k$ vettes...so on and so forth...in my opinion you could put me in either of these cars and id be perfectly happy. it just so happens that the srt was more in my budget
The insurance is very, very similar. Maybe 10 dollars a month difference. In an earlier post, the evo was quoted as the highest car to insure and the srt came in 3rd. I am 29, and have a clean record for the last 3 years, out of nessesity, not choice. I drive an 87 gti everyday(16v, but it is still just gutless, but somewhat fun) in order to keep the cops off my back. I WILL always defend the srt, I LIKE the car, but when asked to pick a favorite between the two, I will pick the evo, and most of the time I will let people say what ever they want about them, I know the car is not invicible, and a LOT of MODIFIED car can and will beat it. But every once in a while......I mean come on, it sucks from a roll???? With a redline that doesn't like to kick in till after 7500rpm, it has plenty of go. One could also say that mitsubishi help keep the turbo cars alive(along with dodge) in the 90's while everyone else was bowing down to honda and acura claiming that vtec was the best thing since sliced bread. From a roll an srt and an evo will kill a honda. So when someone says sucks, it leaves the impression that it would barely be able to beat a geo metro from a roll. I know this is a dodge forum, but build some credibility and don't take things to the extreme. In a roll it is a good race.
i completely concur. like i said though i have never raced one nor have i driven one. i think i just might do that here in the very near future. i found one for around 25k$ at an auto mart or auto way...something like that. i should have drove it then. come to think about it the only all wheel turbo car i have driven was a reg. impreza & and a wagon b4 the sti came out. i wasnt impressed! but you obviously like the srt cause you have one so i know youre not knockin it. all cars have their strong points and their weak points. if you want a car that performs a perfect 10 all the way around in a straight line, or on a track, or that will run 200 + mph i dont think youll find one made in the US unfortunately...maybe the saleen s7....anyway i can understand the frustration. i was talking to a guy i work with earlier and he was askin why i would pay 20k for a "neon". then i told him to put me beside a GT or even an older model cobra and i would show him. he laughed and said no way!!! so i can see your point....
