what issues do 03's have? i'm really interested to know, because the majority of the problems started to show up when the 04's came out so how is that an 03 problem. flywheel bolts backing out, 3rd gear issues, all reared their ugly little heads with the start of the production of 04's. so some wires had to be moved in an 03, that makes it an inferior car? please. and fyi - the 03's where not the same price as the 04's, they were about 1k cheaper.

keep it coming as to why 03's suck, it's all in your heads people.....just a way to justify to yourself that your year is better.

 

you shouldn't take this too seriously psichick.......lots of srt owners don't know a damn think about these cars and repeat what other dumbasses say.And besides...you probb got one of the fastest srt4s in these forums...AND IT'S AN 03'!!!!LOL...to me theres no diff

 

it just annoys me that people think that 03's are so horrible when they're not. you can get a very good deal on an 03 because people think they suck, so why pay thousands more for a 04 that's "supposedly" better and it's the same damn thing

 

Well I say we are all one family weather it's an 03, 04 or 05. They all aren't too different from each other and I never thought that 03 was really any different than 04 or 05. So what they changed a couple things in the later models, the 03's can perform just as well as the other two and as PSI Chick said they r a bit cheaper. Either way, I think the whole SRT-4 family is great. I have an 05 just because that was available at the time. I would have gladly bought an 03. Frankly, if anyone here actually owned all three years of the SRT-4 and moddedeach onefor a while, then you can complain about the differences in the other cars, other than that, it just an opinion. To you huero3000, it doesn't matter. Like PSI Chick said again, they are all pretty much the same. Not trying to argue with anyone cause we all frankly have the same car, minus the mods of course.

well me personaly i KNOW the 04 & 05 are faster and much better! big fat J/K!!! dont kill me psichik. like everyone said there's a little difference in the models but not enough for you to make your decision soley on the year. i would look at mileage and i would find one that hasnt been touched (all stock). in the later years they did make some prettier colors (my opinion only) so if thats what youre lookin for then there you go. as far as performance i have a friend with an 03 that will walk all over my 04. and i beat an 05 in my 04 so take it how you want it, but if i could find an 03 that was 1k cheaper and had good mileage ( around 40k) then i would jump on it. in the end theyres the same mods for all years and can make each year as fast as you would care to. good luck on your decision

 

only ricers care about colors and models!!!!when they finally get the right color the stick as many possible stickers and designs they can think of!!!!!If you care about that then you shouldn't buy and srt4!!After all we're riced-out neons to everyone else...Like my grandpa used to say"...it's a neon 'till it kicks your ***..then it's an srt4.."forget looks and worry about performace

 

Redevil speaks the truth to a tee. I don't know how many times people came up to me, asked me how much I paid for my car and then say, "You Paid That Much For a NEON"... heh, I just smirk. The car speaks for itself when you go smoking by them on the road. I love when someone gets in my car and dont know any better and u hit the gas and spool the turbo, give them a little jolt. They go grabbing for support like they r about to fall off a bridge. Then they spread the word about how fast the car reallty is with me never having to say anything at all. It's always good stuff.

lmao black...look man i know how you feel.I spent 2 month boosting 5 psi....but I never tried to fix it because I was feeling down and doubtful about the car, you in the other hand are trying in everysingle way to fix yours...so i give you 2 big thumbs up!!!!it's prob. nothing bad....try to find some srt4 owners around and ask them....or someone who owns a turbocharged car.It's really hard to help you when you discribe everything in words....i bet if i took a look at it ....it would be a lot easier.really sorry i can't help you man!!
