Ok so I narrowed it down to the Maxxfab. Just so I get this, for a full application I'm gonna need the s3 02 housing, a Maxxfab Downpipe and of course the exhaust right? I asked him if he made a dual version of the single exhaust setup cause I really like the tips on those. If I buy the turboback exhaust, will I need to order a 02 housing or downpipe?

for less than $300 you can get one done at most places...and it's gonna do pretty much the same as any other exhausts.....but if you have the money to buy one then buy it....most of them sound pretty good, but they come with resonators and stuff, so i suggest you take that off when you get it.It will sound a lot better

Are the resonator pipes welded on or are they part of the bolt on, if so i just wont put it on but if I have to cut then I rather go with something a bit easier to deal with. I can cut I'm just lazy.

ummmmm no....i don't think they are bolt on, it all comes together. But you just have to take it to a shop and have it removed and replaced with a piece of pipe...it's very easy. There's only a few that come 3' full....I've seen a couple but don't remember where.

That's the only problem. here in England, that's hard to come by. I can look around and see but I'll wait until I heard the exhaust. From what PSI Chick said I may not need to take it off. We'll see.

if you have a resinator i suggest that you leave it on there. people don't realize how freaking loud these exhausts are. i have a full 3" with TWO mufflers and i'm going to have a resinator installed because it's just too loud. you can't even talk in the car it's just rediculous.

if you order the tbe from maxxfab all you need is the 02 housing, the dp is part of the exhaust.

redevil - if you're paying $300 for an exhaust i can just about guarantee you that it's definetly not the same as the aftermarket companies. the difference is that for $300 you can get crush bent pipes and run like crap as it's going to restrict flow, or for about $500 you can get a mandrel bent exhaust that will actually improve performance. there's a reason that exhausts are expensive, not just because the companies feel like charging that much.

mine's mandrel bent, there no restriction....it looks just like any other exhaust out there, I've compared with all of them and they have the same exact bends, only diff is in the back.Mine was bend in the rear, wich is why I had to pay 100 extra to to cut the rear part off and install new piping, now it's perfect. And it's not that loud,I had to run with just downpipe for a week, now that's freaking loud.Only issue I had with it was all the vibration inside the car,oh and yeah my girl would just talk her *** out and all I did was nod my head [sm=smiley20.gif]

Heh, that's funny just nod an agree. My probe was like that, it was freekin loud and I mean LOUD. It sounded good but oh god was it loud. I sold it but the guy who bought it is still around and I see what people mean when they told me it was loud. Anyway thanks PSI Chick and redevil foryour responses. Trist me I'll have a lot of posts like these for the other parts of the car. Of course I'll search first but if I dont find anything helpful I'll post. Maxxfab it is for sure, now to just pick a model.

theres a way you can bypass the o2 sensor with a spark plug something ???....i dunno... but if you wanted to go and have someone run you a 3" exhaust w/p ordering one i will tell you exactly how to bypass the o2. its not hard at all. i took off my cat and only replaced it with 2.5" and its a little louder and has more pop to it, but overall about the same. it opened up my turbo spooling and it gave me a little better throttle response as well. i would have one made myself personally..im with red. i think it will do about the same....but everyone here knows that im def. no expert when it comes to these cars so you can take my advice or you can throw it out the window will doin 110mph w/ your new maxxfab exhaust. let me know if you want to know how to bypass that 02 though...GOOD LUCK
