Hello every 1 I was 1s the proud owner of a dodge dakota and now im the not so proud owner of a ford mustang lol... Any how in about 4 months im going to be in the market for a Vehicle and I love me a dodge espceily there trucks so nauturly dodge was at the top of my list unfounrlty there sports car selection isnt that vast for my price range which is deffintly well under 30k lol more like 19k....but any how i made the mistake of selling my dakota for a ford and boy let me tell you this thing is problem after problem now before you say it, no i do not beat my vehicles i do all my matince on time and take good care of my cars but unfourntly the person before me didnt do such a good job on the poonstang and for the first month or so i felt like i was underneath her more then i was in her.. Also not to mention the ford mustang community sucks!! There all out to get each other i mean the fourms are nice and helpful enought but soon as you get out on the roads other mustang owners are trying to screw ya left and right like they got something to prove which is nothing like the dodge -chevy community for the most part....hell it almost remindes ya of the ricer community. But any how im here to see if the srt-4 is worth buying. For the longest time i though of the srt as rice...yes i no i no dont kill me but not any more as i have seen what there capable of which in turn got me intrgiued in them and i sorta fell in love with them haha. But down to the dirt Whats the pros whats the cons? How does it sound is it a ricey sound or a more deeper tone? How well are they holding up on a properly maitained car? How is the turbo? Whats the things that fail the most on these cars? How is the aftermarket capabilty on these cars? How would you comapare them to the chevy cobalt... I test drove 1 myself and was rather impprecced with ride qauilty, handeling, space ect ect. But the power was terrible i had it at 4k rpms in 3rd gear and felt like i was standing still haha (figure of speech of cource). But ya any input greatly appreciated and sorry for the paragraph and crappy spelling haha.

 

I've easily sold many people on the SRT-4 and none of them have ever looked back and are all satisified customers and overwhelmed by it's performance.

 

The SRT-4 is more than worth buying, it's a car that changed minds, turned heads and continues to do so. Dodge didnt make a huge quantity of them and for the price you get some good bang. You will understand if you buy one and let her rip on the turbo. This car is hands down great, I always gets peoples attention with it, the stock setup is great with a deep tone sounding exhaust, no rice car here. It a true engieered tuned car made for performance and racing. The Mopar guys give you the options for safe, straight bolton's for extra power (stage 1, 2 or 3)or of course you can do your own setup to really make some noise on the streets. This car handles well, the drive is fun and it'll beat ahonda or chevy ormany other carsthat tried to match it. Every cars has it's shortcomings but this car has very few and if you planned on modding it, you'll be in for a real treat. Dont miss out on a great car, I only bought mine a year ago and I tell you it's a great car. I haven't even started modding it yet! Test drive one if you can. Trust me, just from the way the exhaust sounds, and the body style of the car (in which sold me) you'll be sold before you even step inside one.

test drive one and then youll be sold! my opinion, if youre going to mod your car with a stage kit, go for an 04 or 05 model so you dont have to change injectors. other than that....i promise once you drive one you will love it. if youre a heavier person though you might find the seats a little too narrow and uncomfortable, but if youre small like me then youll fit perfect while you runnin all over these 30 and 40k $ sport cars...i promise you for the money you will not find a better car thats more fun to drive or faster for that matter.....GET A SRT4!!!!! read up on all the forums though and that should adress any problem we have, and youll deff. see the pros in just about any thread you open....good luck

what is the point of this? of course people here are going to tell you to get the car, you're in a section where owners of the srt-4 are. what do you think they're going to say? no don't buy it it's a pos? i never understood how these threads help people make a decision on what car to buy. if you like the car, get one. if not, get the cobalt. it's your car not ours and you need to be happy with it. our opinion has no bearing on that at all.

one thing ican comment on is the cobalt. what apos that thing is.i met a guywho has a ss s/c and in 6 months it's been in the shop 4 times. yea people say that it's more "refined"(even thoughpersonally i think it's the same damn thing) butthe quality is crap. it's a chevy....

 

i beat one when i was boosting 5psi..long time ago!!!!thats why I told him I wouldn't give him a longass speech on the car....just buy it.Like psichick said, you're on an srt4 forum.....what do you think they're gonna suggest!!!??

 

nah i didnt have time to do anything yesterday ed....im thinkin that ill get under the hood this weekend and start tryin to block stuff....i do need to holler at u though just make sure we're on the same page as to what i need to do...ill try to call you around 12-1..my time.....1-2 your time

eds right titan...just get one. you wont be dissapointed i promise. youre not going to find a faster car for the money and even if you do then it's had someone else doin work on it which would scare me. you can put a little money in these cars wont nothin on the road touch it...plus you drop it a little and from the factory you have a beautiful car that will move pretty darn good. the best thing for you to do is find one and go drive it. then get back on and tell us what you decided.....i guarantee you'll be a owner of skittle after the test drive

 

One of the best parts about the car is the modding, there is excellent support everywhere,
and when u mod u r car is like falling in love with it all over again!!!!
