Default 62mm MpX throttle body

Most of you have seen my posts in here about the problems my car developed after I put a new MpX 62 mm throttle body on it. I switched it out today and put the factory throttle body back on and the car runs great again. I'm guessing now that this throttle body was designed to perform better with something at least Stage 2 or better. It is a high quality nice piece but on my Stage 1 I had a flat spot at about 5000 RPM's with this like it was starving for fuel.

Anyway, I wanted to let you know the car is fixed and if anyone is interested in buying this throttle body I'll let it go for $100 plus shipping. It's about 2 months old, no problem with it other than I think it was meant for a higher Staged car. Just P.M. me if you're interested. You can see this throttle body on Modern Performances webpage.

Thanks for all the help and advice you all gave me about this.

You can read all my earlier posts in drivetrain performance they aren't more than a couple months old. The throttle body comes with the spacer and bolts, the gasket looks good to me but if you want to make a new one you can. I think the throttle body was just to big for my set up. It is huge compared to the 53mm that is stock on the car. The problem was it seemed to rev slower through the gears and had a flat spot at 5000 RPM's like it needed more fuel, that's just a guess on my part though. The throttle response it seemed to me was smoother than stock. I think if I had been willing to purchase a wideband and do some tuning this thing may have been great but that's not the route I want to go. I'm trying to stay strong but still around Stage 1 at this point.

You can see a picture on Modern Performances website.

It is the MpX 62mm throttle body that sells for $290. I just want to recoup some of my money. There's certainly nothing I can see wrong with it and with the right setup it might be great. Think about it, PM me if you're interested.

I just checked and you can still see all my posts about this on the 1st page in here under "drivetrain performance".

something must be wrong with the tb then. plenty of people use 60mm tb's on stock cars and they work just fine. i don't see how a 2mm difference is going to screw things up that badly. i know of some issues with the boomba 70mm tb, but that thing is just huge.
