When I asked you how it is better I was not expecting to get a smart *** reply..... it can handle more boost without leaking ? ... I don't know anything about the raptor bov that is why I asked... I have seen HKS BOV on cars running 35psi with no leaks....fill me in... how does the design of the raptor bov give it better protection against leaking ?

 

That's exactly the type of research I was doing when i narrowed it down to the Tial ( which seems to be the Cadillac of BOV's ) and the HKS. I've got the blue rice plate on right now and like PSI said and always say's, it leaks.

So, I set off to find what the best for the money was. The HKS is supposed to hold higher levels of boost than most and I haven't heard anyone complain of one actually leaking vacuum.

I have heard people say they don't like the sound, which is cool, no problem, Ive usually got the music so loud I might not even hear it myself. For the people I drive by who may hate that sound of the BOV, I'll just be smiling.

 

I wasn't trying to be a "smart ***"...I just gave my opinion like everyone else and your trying to turn this post into a discussion...dunno why lol....but If I ofended you in any way I'm sorry, didn't know you take a post this seriously!!!lmao..calm down son..."IT'S JUST A POST".Talisman, it's not that I hate the sound of HKS, I used to mess with people all the time, blowing right by them with that whisle....but after a while it gets kinda boring.But like you said you like to drive and rock on at the same time so that's kool.If I wouldn't have messed my hks up I would've kept it, but I'm so smart that I decided to put it in the hot side pipe(bottom one) and I bumped into somehting and fell off.My props to HKS....but I still think Raptor is "better"...hope burnout doesn't get mad again

 

If we wait a little while PSI will come in and tell us we're all full of mmmmmmmm,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,baloney and Greddy is the only way to go.
BTW, how in the world could you install it on the lower pipe ? As one of my Technicians wold say that would take some creative engineering, well actually he has a different sayingfor it but you get the point. The flange is on the UPP, you would have to really be creative to get it on the lower pipe.

 

not really...only took me 30 mins.I cut a piece of the rubber pipe, put the flange with bov on that was it.The car boosted fine and everything was going great till I hit something.It was my first mod lol

you got that right.Oh and to tell you the truth I think Greddy sounds way better than raptor and hks...dunno if its better or not, but sound wise is the best for me, too bad I couldn't find a kit for it.

 

LoL .... I didn't get mad... I was just trying to get you to back up your story there bud. You said it was better... I was just looking for an explanation for why .....the HKS is designed to, in theory , never leak under any amount of boost.... I don't care which one you like better , your opinion is your own. Just to clarify .... You think the raptor is a better BoV because of the sound it makes ?...... if that's what you're saying then that's fine. Maybe you didn't expect someone to question your statement "raptor can hold more psi" ..... I was just looking for some evidence as to why... which was the only reason I posted... not to argue which one is better....I cannot argue that as I have no information to how the raptor works.
