oh okay thanks for all the advice. so i guess im gonna stick to the s1. im also kinda interested in gettting the borla exhaust,msd wires and ngk plugs.i was also looking at a ic chiller,forge wga and mpx throttle body 62 mm. do these sound any good?

If the gas cap doesn't seal it will leak evaporative emissions and fail an emissions test. Most times people just didn't tighten it. Sometimes it needs replacing. One of the 1st things to check these days if the engine light comes on is the gas cap.

 

well if it's throwing a code then it will fail, but if it's not throwing a code, then there's no reason to fail.

On most of the new cars we see it will throw a code, simply by not being tightened down.

 

I'm in the chi town area as well and it is a pain in the *** to pass around here but there should'nt be a problem with any stage kits. thump what part of illinois you in?

stage kits won't change afr's in the rpm and load range that your car is tested at.

 

um yea they will. each stage kit is tuned to different afr's, and each car is different on top of that.

we don't do the rollers anymore so it doesn't really matter though.
