Ok, both of my headlights are cracked and I need to replace them soon. I am pondering 3 options:
a) New OEM from a dealership
b) Used from junk yard
c) Aftermarket on Ebay

Here is my thinking. The 3will probably crackdue to the crappy Louisiana roads and semis kicking up a lot of rocks. So the used ones should be best. The only arguement for aftermarket is that they are different than stock.

Another internal debate I am having deals with my 2 sets of S-style eyelids (black and red). Should I put on the:
a) red only (matches car's paint)
b) black only (matches AAR stripe)
c) red over black (cause I have them both and black over red would be gay)

If someone wants to photoshop the eyelids on my pics so I can visualize it, that would be awesome.

Begin debate.....now.

Well for the lights, I say look for some new ones that can replace the old ones.I'd go OEM but with a different style. As for the eyelids. Red works well since your car is red but if your decals are black then I would go with the black eyelids. Just my .01 cent.

 

um...if it's a different style then it's not oem....

i have the black housing headlights, definetly recommend them. i also vote for the red eyelids....

 

Amy... black housing head lights? Not up on that?? what are those, where'd ya get them, all those other annoying questions??

if u think theyll be broke again go with junk yard, no doubt! if you feel frisky, go ahead and splurge, get some cool as hell lights and be done with it. as for the eyelids...go red! and sale me the black! i need some! even if you want to keep both i would still go red...to me it makes the car look totally different with the eyelids the same color as the hood

 

and get a mustache while ur at it!!!lmo....one of my headlights has a little crack in it!!but who cares, you can't even notice it

 

you can't see them in the pic in my sig very well, but basically they look just like an oem headlight except the inside housing around the turn signal is black instead of chrome.

Has anyone bought those cheap HID's off ebay to see how the quality is. I keep seeing them on there but don't know if I should waste my time if they suck.

 

how do you get the headlight black around the inside. u have to take it apart and paint it or can you buy it like that. i was wanting to make me the eyelashes for my headlights out of vinyl...anyone have any idea if i can get a stinsel or some way to draw a cut out on the vinyl?

 

oh yeah....and i want to get some smoke corner lenses and tint my rear lights. do you tint the rear lights like you do the fronts ( that is if you tint the front by painting?) or do you buy those as well. i was thinkin of puttin black outs on the rear..anyone else done this or seen blackouts on a neon?
